2805 spent her last day on run-6 of rt.3 (Main - Chinatown) on April 20th, 2008 and officially marked the final chapter of the operation of Flyer E901A / E902 trolleybuses in the Greater Vancouver region. The very first Flyer trolleybuses were introduced to the Vancouverites back in 1982, and they took a very important role in the history of the Vancouver trolleybus operation. Finally, their mission is over as the New Flyer low-floor trolleybuses (E40LFR / E60LFR) will succeed the duty and marks the start of another new era of Vancouver's trolleybus system which was first implemented in 1948.
At the end of the night, after pulling the bus up to the front of VTC, operator Angus McIntyre turned in his seat. "Well folks," he announced as he applied the parking brake, "it's all over."
