Local buses in Tainan City are operated by Shing-Nan Bus Company (興南客運) and Fucheng Bus Company (府城客運). Tainan is unique in that urban buses carry the Tainan City Bus branding and colour scheme, rather than the operating company's proprietary colours, which is the case in most other major Taiwanese cities. As such, the company name is featured in a less-than-prominent position on many of the buses, with the exception of some older units that still display both the unified branding and the company name or insignia.
